[New] Kamasylve Channels

  1. What is Kamasylve (Veteran) Channel?
  2. It is a channel prepared for veteran adventurers with the freedom to defend or attack others in world pvp.
  3. The Karma system is deactivated.  Dying to another adventurer results in a 30 second respawn timer.
  4. You can gain extra 10% of EXP. (Removed - Karma Free pvp is incentive enough)
  5. You can enter at or above level 58.
  6. If you can access the Kamasylve channel, you can also access other channels freely.  (Besides Olivia)

No, the solution is not to separate the player base further. That's why they merged the servers.

The solution is an updated karma system or an area similar to the desert but more effective.

... There's been like 1000 suggested ideas for revised karma unless you've never been on this forum.

-for 5 mins no karma lost after first kill.

-after 2 deaths respawn the dead player farther and farther from node.

These two separate ideas fix greifing problems and adds substance to karma and OwPvP.

As for the new area it'd be nice or if they revised the current outlaw area to actually work and be effective and offer some small unique incentive for the perma reds would be nice.

I mean I've never seen such a thread on the forums but what you suggested so far...is meh

5 mins of no karma lost after the first kill doesn't prevent griefing in anyway. It just saves you from losing karma and is kinda just warning kill 

respawning the dead player father will create nightmares for grinding purposes, especially if you are at pirates or in the desert. So if the red player is hunting you and you are attempting to mind your own business, you reward the red player by giving him the grind spot and spawning his victim farther away each time? That seems kinda bad

There honestly shouldn't be an incentive to go red in a game that is attempting to foster a more party friendly atmosphere. They also didn't build the game around rewarding open world PVP to the fullest unlike Archage for example when you received the most money by passing through the pirate player zone and selling trade packs there. BDO system was just never built to be like that.

It's an interesting Idea but I don't like segregating the player base.  I think there are much better solutions to encourage PvP but it has to be more integrated into the world. 

Making trading much more valuable but also vulnerable to being Pirated or stolen.   For instance fixing the horse exploit so you can't carry 100k crates on your yourself or your mount but drastically increasing the weight capacity, storage capability and inventory space of wagons.   Increase the distance bonus so carrying items all the way to valencia would be like 400% bonus BUT.... you can get killed and robbed of your entire shipment.  

people still have grinding and gathering and the various other ways to make money but trade would be where you make the big bucks. 

The Karma system would have to be changed tho to something similar to say to archeage's crime system where you leave blood or footprints where you've done dastardly deeds and other players report them.  Once you become "Wanted" a player can kill you and you go to jail and your gear is confiscated.  You can wait out your sentence and get all your gear back OR you can try to escape and collect your gear via a Skyrim style prison escape. 

You could add a lock picking skill/mechanic to the game to both secure trade wagons and escaping from prison and picking the lock to the chest holding your gear.  If players destroy a trade wagon then they run the risk of destroying all the merchandise and it all being returned to the victim via the current recovery means.  So they have to pick the lock on the trade wagon to access the goods.  Craftable locks could be another upgrade for the wagons and the better the lock the longer it takes to pick.  (lockpicking skill reduces time to pick said locks provided you have a pick)

NPC cargo ships and wagons could also be potentially raided and thus give more opportunities for naval pvp as guilds act as escorts while other guilds attack and try to pirate the ships. 

Also... make boats have real physics... the current ship "physics" are robotic and clunky and fake.

If you dont like it just play on other channels. Noone cares about some life skiller opinion. "segregating" playerbase and being unfair? Ye thats why so many players left because of you. You made this game a lot worse when they changed exp loss in world pvp because of your non-stop crying. I would love to play on a channel where you can just pvp with other people without bs karma system.

Top PvP players are life skillers, git gud.

 

I have guru in fishing, master 8 in trading, made t8 horse myself and sometimes i do gathering but i still prefer pvp over all life skills. Its part of the game but im talking about people that can only do life skills never pvp and almost never grind.

the desert pvp system is broken it only makes griefing worse

Me neither. It would blow itself up or become bloated with rules to keep itself from blowing up. I'm sure someone at PA brought it up at some point and they thought about it enough to realize it is not going to work.

God this would be amazing. People would get PHENOMENALLY ass blasted if you pk them on this channel. It would be full of pompous assholes who think they are the best of the best. There's nothing better than dumpstering kids that fancy themselves as lolelitepvpers 

This could be even better than killing RPers...

I honestly think it would be full of guilds who dedicate their waking hours to griefing. I seen vids of such guilds. It makes my skin crawl. they make me so sick... okay I only say that about them because they have insane admission requirements and turned my application down.

Why not? I just want more channels in general lol. I would use that channel exclusively for doing life skills no lag and abusing empty imperial traders :$

But I don't think a level 58+ cap is a good idea, because majority of NA/EU players aren't anywhere near that. You might want go there as a guild&friend group, for some spontaneous chill PvP. Would suck if half you guildmates can't come.

Also, what about Balenos, Serendia and Calpheon? Like what's the point of those lower level regions with pre 50 mobs, if the channel has a level cap? They're just empty and for show?

World bosses would also be a massive waste if spawning on that channel. Would be like 5 guys trying to kill Kutum and each other at the same time :S

Majority of bosses wouldn't get killed at all and eventually un-summon.

Also no -----ing free 10% EXP. Grinding without having to deal with karma bombers is already a massive advantage, no need to sugar the deal even further.

This would accomplish two things. Pvpers could fight other pvpers without any negative karma effects and the straight pvers would have less pvp.
