Karma System griefs everyone.

1 hour into my grind, alone in Crescents, a Tamer in a ghillie shows up.  They could have gone ANYWHERE in the area, but they choose to grind exactly where I am grinding.

No response.  Just continues to grief me intentionally.  I ask them to please leave.  Still ignored.  I pop a flare and ask my Guild to declare war.

2017-04-29_283094315.thumb.PNG.17a8cc2d8

The guild is not ready for war.  Clearly they are ready to instigate a war.  That to me says they are ready to be declared war upon.  They are abusing the system to grief other players.

So, since my grinding has already been ruined, and I tried everything else at my disposal, I flag up and kill the offending player.  And they just keep coming back over and over, clearly karma bombing me.  This type of play is being rewarded by the current system.  After getting so low in karma that one more kill would put me negative, I am forced to leave the area.  For the next 30 minutes they can attack me freely with no repercussions attempting to send me to jail.  Because they rudely invaded my grind.

So here is my suggestion.

1st time you get killed, no change.

2nd time you get killed XP loss UNLESS you respawn at town.

That's it.  Very simple.

Also, we need a change to the War Declaration mechanics.  The current form is too easily abused by players like this.  Maybe give guilds an option that is like the opposite of 'protection' in a guild war.  Like a Manhunt mechanic or something where up to 10 individuals at any give time can be declared an enemy of the guild and attacked freely as though they are at war with the guild.

Who was the tamer in this case to claim it. It doesnt matter. OP got griefed and effed by the system. Which is bad. Stop justifying that behavior. OP did nothing wrong here.

The system we have to utterly broken. Promoting foul gameplay.

Are you feigning ignorance to make an invalid point, or do you really not understand how this game works?

You have to shout "THIS IS MY SWAMP!" next time

Yeah, how this game works is that pretty much first come first serve so whoever is grinding there owns the turf and you have to fight them or party up

Anti-social BDO is anti-social so they made partying actually detrimental LOL

bs system gonna stay. you have to understand something. this game and devs dont give a F about you darling. This mmo is welcomes casual players and grifers with his broken shittyass karma system they invented. they dont care u get griefd they dont care if u cant grind. Hell they dont care if you leave the game, as long as ppl are still stupid enough to pay them for some shitty ass pearls. in the end of the day u gonna reach lvl 60-61 and stop grinding cause money grinding is BS, and you gonna join the rest, with our beloved gameplay. Single Player AFK Simulator. Hf afk lifeskills for the rest of your life in bdo after that.

Easier solution: You adjust your rotation so it can't be griefed.

So... instead of just.... ignoring them and keep grind (if you kill faster than them, what's the problem? If you don't... then don't try to "claim" an area? It's an mmo, not a "this is MY area" game) you decide to PK them and then complain about a system that would punish you for PK'ing them multiple times? ._.

So pretty much you want to be able to gank people out of areas without incurring any penalty or cost on yourself? Swore that was the reason karma existed in the first place, so there was a cost.

Another troll player taking advantage of this terrible karma/war system

2017-05-07_1007378932.thumb.PNG.76c5beac

His guild can't be decked, and he knows I'm at a disadvantage if I attack him for interrupting my grind.

If I attack him and beat him no contest, he will karma grief me.
If I attack him and he stands a chance of winning, he karma griefs me while also trying to send me to jail.

If I attack him and lose he trolls even harder.

This Karma system is -----ed.  This war system is -----ed.  Ruining the game.

THE ENTIRE REST OF THE CRESCENT AREA IS EMPTY AND HE COMES AND -----S WITH ME.  FIX THIS -----ING SYSTEM.

so basicly this picture shows what you belieave is right...

15f.jpg

and now let me quote one guy...

You say I don't own a spot? True but I have an analogy for you. Let's say you sit on a bench in a park. Obviously this bench is owned by the government and everyone can sit there and you don't own it if you currently sit on it. But if someone came along and said "move I want to sit here now" or if they just randomly sit very close to you even though there enough other benches you would be pissed. While technically they are allowed to do that and you have no more right to sit on the bench than they do, you will still say "what's the matter with you, I was here first"

The urinal picture is almost spot on... except in this case the guy came over and started using the exact same one, heh.

A few days ago a player appeared while I was doing my task. He told me that he now owns the spot and asked me to leave. I just typed in a "?" into the chat and wait for his reaction. He told me that this is the rule of the game and I should leave now. So I asked him where this rule is written down, I would like to read it. He told me a "veteran" player told him this and laughed to me because I did not know it. I asked him if he believes every thing anybody tells him and that he is wrong. Finally he got angry and told me he will kill me if I do not leave now. I kept on killing the sort of mobs for my quest. He flagged and started his strongest awakening skill towards me. The whole screen started to sparkle. I was still standing there looking to him so he attacked me again and again. After some time he stopped and wrote "ah, your char has low level. you are a newbie. That is why you do not know the rule ....

O.o

NO. Karma exists for a reason. This is a stupid idea. Your case isn't the only case. HOWEVER, PVP is broken right now. If someone attacks you, cancels their pvp status, YOU have to lose karma to kill them. Please fix this, as that makes no sense and is game breaking.

If you are referring to my last comment:

1. I was playing my level 49,9 character.

2. The player with awakening who attacked me did not get this for some time.

3. When he realized that my character is below level 50 his conclusion was that I am a newbie and do not know anything about this game.

Not need to mention here that I am playing BDO since open beta (got this "special" very first title, too). During this time I had created more than 20 characters and also have characters above level 50.

Helion (Good): A character with 0 KARMA is a Helion. Helion names are displayed in WHITE letters.
Niete (Evil): A character with 1 or more KARMA points* is Niete and their name will display in RED letters.
Battle Status PINK: Battle Status occurs for 30 seconds after a Helion player attacks another Helion player, or a player
already in Battle Status. Killing a player in Battle Status does not increase KARMA points.

if i attack you ( i become PINK) If i kill you w/o attack me ( i become red ) - and make - karma ( anyone can kill , and if i die till am red i cant spawn on node i can spown only in town)( when i become red from first kill i make 100% karma - in every dead i lose 5% karma) in that case there will be more ppl in fron of every town to fight and lose the karma ) that means more pvp more fun.

If i attack you ( ibecome PINK) if you attack me at this time (you become PINK) - one of us die - he can respown on node,  the one who survive stay PINK for 30 sec after that back to white normal.

simple and easy. in that case no1 will greef or kill for no reason.
