Hello people, I have a problem with fps and I saw some threads but I never found a fix.

So my pc is good enaught for bdo for sure:

i5 7600k, gtx 1080ti, 16GB

I set the Xbox dvr thing to 0 and I dont know what to do, I get random fps drops, even in empty cities, but most of the time at the storage, does anyone know a real fix?

Uninstall and play a different game? Seriously you are not going to stable fps in this game, especially at the storage. If you get random drops in the field make sure that coherent ui isn't eating your cpu usage. You can also OC your cpu, and that should help some. Just don't count on this game ever running smoothly like most other games you may play.

you shouldn't (ever) have to OC your cpu to play a game, especially with a current gen cpu

i underttand if you're running on an old ass pc.

Pearl Abyss needs to optimize their game, it's badly coded

OC may cause BDO to crash, but most modern processors are built to be overclocked at least a little bit. So it can be worth it, just make sure your game is stable first if dying is going to set you back a crapton of XP and good gems.

My laptop used to be able to run the game ok at low res. Well enough for lifeskilling stuff.

Last patch has killed the game on laptop for me. Not sure if it's the sticker ui stuff (I've not used it at any point).

I ran into the same Problems but managed to find a, at least temporary, solution:

Hit ESC and click on the MP/AH, either let display your own things you want to sell or click any random category. Then you close the MP/AH window with the X-Button. It seems that the MP/AH search engine ist running in the background and randomly is -----ing up your FPS.

Everytime you're using the MP/AH, before you close the window click any random tab to avoid those random FPS Drops.

its marketplace that is causing the fps drops, go into marketplace items listed and exit it

The market place can be a cause so try that fix, but also the last patch introduced a "Graphic Card Low-power Mode" setting and defaulted it to on for a lot of people. Make sure that is off.

You will be default get lower FPS in

A. Cities (due to huge amounts of afkers, afk horses, etc).

B. World Bosses, due to large influx of ppl in one spot.

C. Siege/node war.

Things I have found that absolutely help (prob obv but w/e).

1. Turning workers and pets off. This alone will increase FPS a bit.

2. Turning off distant effects. I keep close range effects on all the time (even in sieges/wars).

3. Turning off others lanterns.

4. Only displaying party/guild members names (I fluctuate this depending on what I'm doing).

5. Setting priority in task manager to high or real-time.

6. Other NVIDIA settings, but there are numerous threads on those. I have SS mine as well in other threads.

My home PC runs 130-165 FPS in the wild, 60+ in cities on High/Very High (graphic/texture) in 1440p. My laptop I use at work gets 60 FPS everywhere on high, but in 1080p.

Things that would further help FPS in cities/etc. They implemented afk boats being turned in auto, they should do the same for horses. They should have separate node war/siege channels, where AFK'ers aren't present on, imo. These would go a LONG way to helping FPS, for a lot of people. I don't have these issues, but I understand many do. The game IS poorly optimized.
