Class? Some classes grind slower than others,My neighbor recently bought a fresh account and went from 0 to 59 and gs 480 within a month,I think 450 in a month is reasonable.

Really hard to answer. Depends on how many hours you play obviously and how focused you are(not doing fluff).

Also depends if we're talking 450 GS wearing BIS(gold) stuff or 450 GS wearing lower grade equipment.

Would probably only take a few weeks getting 450 AP/DP if you settle for green&blue quality armor and weapons.

If you want full boss gear and all gold quality weapons as well as 450 AP/DP I'd say at least 6+ months if casual. If more hardcore maybe 2-3 months.

As mainly a Lifeskiller  (ie; so many Shards from being so focused on gardening & gathering all the time that I just straight up forced all my TRI's) ... it took me about 2 months of actual concentrated playtime.  If you go the lifeskiller route instead of the Knuckledragging silver-grinding route then there's a pretty long setup-time for establishing your Contribution & Worker network & getting over Artisan5 in the other professions that support rapid Failstack-building.  If you just grind Mobs meanwhile, then you're at the mercy of Bidding RNG off the market where we currently have too many Knuckledraggers and not nearly enough Shard suppliers.  ...so either way, you're going to be spending a lot of time standing in one spot NOT PLAYING the game so that you can play the game.

* - in real world playtime this actually stretched out to half a year because I started gearing up at launch when we didn't even have the same Features we have now while blackstones were also a lot less common.   IE: the whole environment changed drastically as I was gearing up over that time

It really depends on how much free time you have in your hands. Also the class has something to do with it as well.

being a college student and having to deal with tests and finals, took me 60 days to reach level 60 and gs 445 as a warrior.

1 month if you play it at least 8hrs a day, and know what you're doing.
2 months if you're a bit more casual, and are learning.
3 months max if RNG hates you.

depends and class and what grade of equipment you use, with full grunil/tri liverto/ap offhand or vangertz/saiyer and blue/ultimate awakening, its very possible in 1-2 months but if you want like 7/7 tri boss gear thats gonna depend hell of a lot on rng.

Most people apparently have full tri-tet boss gear and gold accessorys by the 3 month mark and usually have atleast a pri ogre ring nowdays and if you don't have this by then may as well quit cause you rolled one of the many unlucky accounts.

You can get to 400 GS within a month casually if you know what you're doing. For a new player who has no idea how bdo works it will take longer.

Tell your neighbor to go outside sometimes. This thing, called the Sun, it's pretty nice.......

Oh, and another thing called Air & Wind... pretty nice things too.....

Birds singing is like the frosting on top of it all.

The people in this topic that says 1-2 months do not have a job/school or any kind of social life.

For reference, my just over 450 GS character (only bheg and dande boss gear) would require an income of 85,9 million per day, if you were to buy everything in 30 days. In reality, few people manage to buy accs of marketplace since their true cost is much, much higher, which means high preorders, easily pushing the average daily income during those 30 days (with a fresh account = no node empire) to over 100 million a day.

As a straight out of the box, noob my level 53 has a GS of 400. If I had played the traditional game of focusing on one character, one class I'd have a 500+ GS after 3 months. Instead I split resources up and put Pri weapons on 6 classes.
Considering the bulk of my gear score was the result patiently waiting for log in rewards, the 3 month marker would be the longest it would take you. Based on what I am seeing, it will take another 3 months to get that to over 600. Forcing Tri taking as much in hard and sharp as Pri and Duo. Accessories are pure RnG and buying them relies on an unhealthy market board marathon game I don't see being an option for most people. Even mitigating RnG with fail stacks assumes you aren't using your black stones for other gear and can throw them in to reblath in the hundreds. tl:dr, Accessories will gridlock you.

I started 2 Months ago. Am now 186/166/233 [GS 421]. Kzarkas, Nouver, Dim Tree, Giath, Bheg.

+15 Grunil waiting for Muskans

DUO Ultimate Heiress waiting for Dande, after Muskans is achieved.

Accessories are TRI red coral rings, DUO red coral earrings, PRI ancient guardians. Last priority.

Ive played more than casually, grinding weekends and my off days (Tues/Wedn). And life skilling during down times as efficiently as possible with pearl outfits. I don't believe I'm doing anything too "wrong" as far as efficiently progressing. If you're 450 GS in a month, you're either absurdly lucky or in lower tier gear with higher enhancements

Are you people with 450+ gearscore just grinding (killing mobs in circles) for hours every time you play?

@Heather42

if you were to achieve it in 30 days. You'd pretty much have to. Let alone a fresh account wouldn't have the luxury of having competent gear for sometime. You do get ~100-150m from leveling your first 56. But that's just enough to get a basic set where efficiently grinding something reasonably lucrative like sausans would be impossible.

I don't see how that could be fun at all. Sounds like work. I could see grinding for hours if you were in prison and had nothing else to do, or were in a retirement home.

That maybe so, but it's the one way to gain skill/combat exp and great amounts of silver. It's the one and only path to become competitive in PvP, levels and thus the latter awakening flow/skills need at minimal 59. I've probably grinded at Sausans nearing 50 hours now. Making roughly 7-12.5m / h depending on if I use an item collection scroll or have a guildie leeching for Special Deals (Actually preferable due to weight issues and too many armor loots). Level 58.47 is where I'm at. I imagine when I hit 60, the "work" mentality can ease up a bit and I'll finally be able to enjoy the game at a pace that is well, more enjoyable. Until then players like myself typically have some bench mark or standard to achieve, thus the motivation for all this grinding.

my numbers add up to 350m - 625m of silver from Sausan grinding alone. The rest of my gear's value comes from lifeskilling, relic scrolls from fishing, and luck.

I hear you. I did the enjoyable stuff first now I need to grind and I'm not looking forward to it. heh. In fact, now that it is staring me in the face I've been afk fishing while I play The Witcher (great game by the way, highly recommended). I might have to face the facts that this might not be the game for me even though I kind of love it.
