My country and others have ip block so we can't play BDO, but here on Steam we can see store page of BDO.

Is Steam version of BDO is region free?

I know some other game which have ip block and it wont show to us even after search on steam but BDO store page is available for all.

My guess is that it is an amateur mistake.  On Kashcow's part.

Recently TERA did the same thing.  After a while the publishers from other regions complained, and forced Enmasse to stop displaying the page to people outside of the US. Enmasse still lets overseas players join from their website, but not on steam anymore.

Time will tell.

that has nothing to do with anything...

The creator  Pearl  Abyss, decides where their partners can publish...has nothing to do with "lighten up the laws" or "decent country"

In case you were not aware, the publisher listed on steam is Kakao Games Europe B.V..  Kakao states on their site they are licensed for Oceania, North America and part of Europe.

There is no change to the current IP restrictions for the Steam service, our licensed service area at this time remains the same as it has been. Should there be any change to this we'll be sure to let folks know. Players who are unfamiliar with this can read our FAQ here.

Can we also get a clarification why we who already own the game can't play it through steam once it gets released there? We only got a simple "no", but why can't we log into the client through steam and take advantage of the features steam offers?

Then can you ask them to block/not display BDO pre-steam page to blocked countries like my country? This give us a false "FINALLY I CAN PLAY THIS GAME WITHOUT ENGLISH PATCH AND VPN" hope. Even though using VPN will get us banned from the service (example: Japanese BDO banned VPN users)

I wanna play this game so bad but you blocked my country's IP. Some media even said this game is "World Wide", it's not "World Wide" if my country is blocked.

Even South Korean BDO now blocked my country's IP (previously not blocked)

Sorry if I'm being salty here, but this is ridiculous.

take note on this:

The Steam version of Black Desert Online requires the purchase of the game from Steam as well as the creation of a new Black Desert Online account. Pre-existing Black Desert Online accounts created from methods other than Steam will not be able to play via Steam.

Means:

Anyone  Who  purchase BDO directly from  the publisher site wont be able to download and playing using steam client without paying through steam. lol
