xcoronahost.xem, CPU usage after 5/3 maintenance.

So i noticed after today's maintenance, xcoronahost.xem has been eating up a large chunk for my CPU. It's a little above half of what BDO is using. I looked over older forum posts and none of the previous fixes seem to be working. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.

Setting priority to low doesn't change anything, it's still using 25% of my cpu.

In the same boat. All the old tricks not working either. Rename files, delete certain files, low priority setting in task manager, nothing. There was a thread from April about the same problem that I don't think was acknowledge by the CMs/GMs so.. yeah. Taking a break from bdo till it gets fixed.

Hey maybe if they release a cash shop horse armor called Xcorona they'll do an emergency maintenance.

I'm having the same issue, and if coherent_ui acts up at the same time, the computer practically freezes.

Xcorona.xem

Browse to your bin64\xc\na\1 and bin64\xc\na\2

and set the xcorona.xem file to read only in both folders. Do not delete the xcorona_x64.xem file.

If you are running a 32 bit windows set the x64 version to read only.

I foun this. someone try and see if it works. Im not at home rite now :<

Those are both old " fixes ", unfortunately, none of the old fixes work. But yeah, would appreciate it if the anti cheat "xcorona" could be fixed.

Isnt it obvious that if it's an "old fix" and it doesnt work anymore, that means they ACTIVELY changed something so that we cant bypass Xcoronahostxem anymore?

That means that by their standards, its "working as intended".

Otherwise why wouldnt this fix work?

The CPU issue was a bit odd on my system. Started on this weeks patch so I played around and did the old fix which didn't work, then deleted the NA/2 directory followed by a game repair and let it redownload it and then tried the old fix again which did not work. Then rebooted the machine at which point the CPU usage went back to normal.

Then this morning I updated my AV and did a reboot and next time I loaded up BDO xcoronahost CPU usage jumped up again. Rebooted machine and it went back to normal again. No idea what is going on.

Edit: By old fix I meant I renamed/deleted xcorona.xem.

I've also heard that the issue happens only on windows 7 machines. Which is the case for me and someone else in my guild who also has the issue.

Sounds anecdotal, but I am on W7,so....There is merit to it I guess. But I'd sooner remove BDO then format to W10.

The windows 7 idea I got from reading some translated korean posts when I was trying to find any new info on it.
