CC Question For Those Who Have Played

7 posts in this topic

For those who have been playing the non Western versions of the game:

What is the CC like in this game in PVP? Don't care about the PVE CC as I do know that some of the CC skills are PVE only or less effective in PVP. Do classes have a lot of CC? How long is it? Mez, sleep, stun, knockdown, disarm, etc?

Thanks in advance.

I have seen knockdowns. I can't tell about sleep or stun since I haven't seen them, but I think sleep is very unlikely to appear in BD.

The four main CCs are grab, stun, knockback, and knockdown. All classes have at least two, and some classes have three or four.

Grabs disable the user and the target. Some grabs can transport the target to a location of the user's choice. (Giant) Other grabs chain into a knockdown. (Warrior)
Stun disables the target for a shorter period of time (sometimes longer, if it's a stun from an ultimate skill) but stunning skills are usually faster to use.
Knockback does exactly what you think it does, and it's usually comboed with a stun.
Knockdown disables the target for a longer period of time, and the target can choose to recover after a mandatory waiting period by using stamina. Knockdown is the main offensive CC in this game, enabling almost every combo.

Thanks Absolute. How about duration? Are we talking 1 second stuns? 2 sec? 3 sec? Are there any diminishing returns? When you get stunned can you then immediately get stunned again and again?

Stuns and knockdowns range anywhere from 1-4 seconds. Knockdowns make the target more vulnerable to some attacks; causing them to do more damage. You can gem and obtain gear that grants resistance to each individual type of CC in the game.

also keep in mind. there are skills with CC where the CC part is disabled for pvp. so where a class has a total of maybe 4 cc skills, only 2 might work against other player.

check the korean forums or the english community forum for the KR version for some pvp builds before rushing into the game.

also u can get gear and crystals for ur gear which increases ur CC immunity. in KR people where having 50-60% CC resist on their characters. so there is no guarantee that in high tier pvp all ur CC that hits also does work

These are the different status effects and my current resistances to them.

기절 = Stun (Varies depending on skill), 정직 = Stagger (2s), 빙렬 = Freeze (2.5s, Unique to Wizard/Witch)
넉다운 = Knockdown (4s, Can recover by double-tapping after 2 seconds otherwise), 바운드 = Bound (2.5s, You will stand up 2 seconds in but be unable to move for the last .5 seconds)
잡기 = Grab (CC lasts as long as the animation but usually has a bound effect once the animation is over)
넉벡 = Knockback (.5s), 뙤우기 = Launch (4s, Can recover by double-tapping after 2 seconds otherwise)
