Trouble Starting up Launcher

Hey all,

I received the email inviting me to install the game in anticipation to getting it unlocked next week. However, I can't seem to actually get the launcher to run, it always ends up not responding.

This is what the log says:

[02/26/2016::11:13:52]    [MSG] DaumGame Global Launcher is started. (1ED4E117BDDE4DF488C8AC002521E1FB)

[02/26/2016::11:13:53]    [MSG] bReturn is 1

[02/26/2016::11:13:53]    [MSG] s key : 19914

[02/26/2016::11:13:53]    [MSG] socket recevie errorr : 10060

[02/26/2016::11:13:55]    [MSG] Action manager ACT_WAIT flow start.

With the common factor in each log being the " socket recevie errorr : 10060 "

Any help would be appreciated.

Someone helped me out on another thread with a similar problem.

Make sure you have no security programs providing firewalls for the launcher or, in my case it was McAfee real-time scanning.

But the most important part was to go into settings ---> Network and Internet ---> Proxy ---> and make sure everything is switched off.

This was for windows 10, I'm sure its a similar process for other versions. It worked for me after doing that, good luck!

The cause of this issue is a corrupted or out dated libcef.dll

To fix it follows these steps:

Windows 10:

Go to settings, click "Network and Internet", click "Proxy" turn off all settings.

Windows 7:

Click "Start", click "Control Panel", click "Network and Internet", click "Internet Options", click the "Connections" tab, click "LAN Settings", turn off all options.

If this doesn't help, contact support. https://blackdesert.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

@Zanto

Do you mean that the launcher is stuck at 0%? If so try as follow

- Press [Windows Key + R]
- Type: regedit
- Go to: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\DaumGames EU\BlackDesertOnlineCBT1] (if present)
- Remove the above folder
- Go to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/DaumGames EU/Black Desert Character Creator]
- Remove this folder too

If the problem still persists, uninstall CBT2 client, repeat the steps above, and reinstall to a new directory.
