Do you think BDO will become free to play?

For a while, but then turned P2W because they (probably) didnt make enough money.

EDIT:
After reading it, I felt the urge to comment to it:
52k Pre-Order with CBT1 around the corner. 470k Pre-Orders for The Division, that has been announced years ago and in my book is the same thing as Blade and Soul (years overdue).

So let's compare the marketing. How much marketing have they done for The Devision? It's a Tom Clancy game, that is already a huge boost and they have been marketing it for years.
How much marketing has DAUM done for Black Desert? Zero.

Once again, you making assuptions that BDO will become F2P, but no valid evidence to back that up.

I agree, In marketing Daum didn;t put any effort. Why? No idea, they only showcase their game in 2 game showcase event, where only couple of thousands gamers were there.

They should advertise on all gaming sites like, GW, ESO. Recently I saw Zenimax has deal with mmorpg.com and they advertise their game like hell, funny thing is mmorpg declare ESO best MMO of 2015. Money speaks Daum.

I have to disagree with you flip. Going free to play wont kill this game. Maybe slowly, but enough possibilities for income. It wil kill the fun for many, but many will come.

Going F2P will still have the same problem if they don't market it.  That's how they get people aware the game is even coming to NA.  During CBT1, streamers might get a few people aware but Daum will seriously need to start marketing it then for it's upcoming release.

Depends. If they bring the game that they originally wanted then I could see the game being very succesfull.

Otherwise, yeah. I'd give it over a year till f2p. Will buy anyway

So PA lie then? They said they were working on publishers for the unserviced region in 2016. give them a chance.

there are no publishers in sa, africa or caribbean, they never had and i doubt htere will be, sa and caribbean have been serviced by north american servers always, its also sad that some countries are politically considered part of na and by world sporting bodies as well, what does pearl abyss do? they lock them out of na bdo. there is nothing about launching a game prematurely, the game was open ip before in kr alot of us played there and even in ru. like i said when people see a company start off so bad you really think they gonna flock to it after? chances are not, i can already see this game declining faster than archeage did.

I hope not. A $30 price tag isn't a huge barrier to entry, frankly it's peanuts, but it's enough to keep out people who aren't particularly interested and of course gold sellers too.

So was WoW. Your point?

lol wow was B2P?
and it's not now? WOW is just one big money maker game no regarding of what players want, new expansions every year or so i'm very sry but that game was ok before and now it's just plain old and ugly looking :P

Generally its easier for a game that's initial release was say, $60ish and $15 monthly fee (or just the monthly fee, even) to end up being F2P than a game thats just a set amount of money upfront.

I have a lot of faith in the NA/EU localization team as they seem to be doing an amazing job thus far, and as such have a lot of good reputation with the players this game is already gonna have, so if I had to guess I would say there will be a lot of players giving word-of-mouth advertisements, thus in theory creating a steady income of people buying the game. (and the costumes of course)

Of course, an MMO going F2P seems like in inevitability for pretty much any of them, no MMO lasts forever (unless its WoW apparently) the only factor is how long does it hold out before that has to be done, which entirely depends on how they hold the community together by keeping the content good.

tl;dr its gonna happen, the question is when
