Changing Fishing Boat Starting Value Marketplace

Most of those who respect and enjoy the crafting lore of BDO, also enjoy making money out of it. That is why I suggest fishing boats should have a higher starting price for the time effort of completing one.

 

Total starting price is at 1.25 - 1.5 Million in the marketplace for Fishing Boats.

25 Bronze Ingots at current value is 50k each (EDAN). Which is required to complete making a boat. That alone is 1.25 Million, more profitable than selling the boat, shit it's almost giving it for free at that point. Also lets not forget Birch Plywood go for 20k Each and need a total sum of 50. 

Not to mention the amount of time and Energy used to collect Normal Logs, Birch logs, Tin, and Copper Ore. Which is a under a week process and those who are new to the game well probably feel cheated and VERY confused. They will feel like a weeks worth of gatherings could of been better off grinding mobs making 500k/Hr+

A VERY reasonable price for Fishing Boats should at least be higher than 6 Million.

Again, the materials using to create the boat.. Shouldn't cost more than the completion of the boat for sale in the market. I'm sure most of you would agree. This post is a suggestion, but in the future I hope prices are fixed at a proper scale for all players.

hey you have my support.  I agree with you, one would be more profitable at every step of the way selling materials and heck even selling the beer for your workers than building a boat.  Mine is just about complete but considering I practically had to go cut down an entire forest, I feel like I should have Spanish galleon come out of the docks when I finish, instead of a measily fishing boat.

Also, on the market prices it would also help more people be ship builders for a source of income and provide a liquid market for other materials in the game.  But I mean heck - I was selling surplus materials the bars between 40-50k and plywood near 20k I easily made over 2 million on just left over materials while my workers were building my own boat.

Also, if the boats aren't profitable, no one in their right mind is going to be building and selling the fishing boat add ons.  Even if you take a look at it from a contribution point picture the.  Just to build a boat is like 13 contribution points, and the addons for storage, speed etc on the ship parts is another 13 I believe.  That's 26+ points dedicated to your fishing boat industry that could easily be spend just growing flowers and you'd make a ton more money.   This even ignores the ton of points and workers you have spawled out over the map, effort in transporting copper from velia to calpheon/epheria .

I agree, and want to expand this to most crafted objects. I have a similar thread complaining about tools as that was the firs thing I tried to make, they are similar, 4 copper ingots for a pickaxe that has a base value of 8k...

I honestly think something went wrong when they were calculating the base cost of crafted objects in the game, it's like they didn't actually look at the base price of all the included materials.

And the icing on the cake is these are *consumables*! Somehow, it seemed like a good idea to make boats unable to be repaired, so you put all this money and effort into this thing that is worth far less than its building materials, and then it just breaks after a bit of use, never to be used again. Crazy!

Totally agree. I just don't have the motivation to build one and i will just buy mine. A higher price will motivate players to craft them. To sell them or just because they can't afford it.

Instead of doing manual price adjust

Just make it so "End product" have price auto adjust based on the material/processed material price that required to craft them - solve the problem and will definitely encourage more people to craft stuff to sell instead of just spamming raw material on the market

Edit: Auto adjust min price - max price can just be determine by the system

Well then, some plant processing shit shouldn't cost 30silve either, 2 energy is not worh it, killing one mob is more profitable (more money gained, less time spent, which is double money gained)

I totally agree. All my processing work would of been done in 1 day, but I have to stretch it into a week. I heard rumors that RU, and KR don't use Energy for Processing. I'm just glad i can make plywood at my houses :|

Yeh the processing gets to be crazy it seems like every night during dinner this first week I've had my giant either chopping stacks of 200 wood or melting metals by the bucketfull.

This applies to ALL crafted things; the algorithm calcultating min-max price is flawed & doesn't account for the price of the materials used to craft it or a margin for crafter, having the node & production facilities available.

Now to the boat: you can have worker to collect all the materials except the normal log.

Will I make one ? Sure, but for myself alone as I have no reason to sell seeing the price or anything that I can craft at all.

Once I finished to get my CP for my calpheon node. As I have already done for Olvia, velia, Heidel & glish. I will go for it.

Then add the energy starvation in there too.
