HP per Level seems to be random!

Hi,

did you know that the amount of HP you get every level is random?

You can test it out:

- Create a Berserker (or every other class)
- Level this Charactor until Level 8 and write down your HP on every Level

- Create an other character (same class) and do the same

When you compare the HP of the 2 identical characters, you will see, that after Level 5 (from 1-5 they are the same), the amount of HP you get/have is different between these tow characters!

I tested it 3 times (2 x Rangers, Berserkers), and it is true...

On Level 6,7,8 the "same" character (same class, same items, no buffs) have different amounts of HP!

How is this possible?!?

Anybody an idear?

I played all char without looting, buff-food or something. I create exact the same chars (star sign)...

Is this a Bug?

When comparing the HP, all chars are "naked" and not buffed in any way...

If anybody has an idear, feel free to tell me...:-)

Thanks!

---

No comments on this?

You understand, that a same geared character at the same level can have more HP then you when on the same Level?

And nobody cares?!? :-)

I was wondering if it got something to do with how you lvl your character?
Or did you lvl them the same way?

Confirmed and it's for MP to...

Ch1 = Ghalius

Ch2 = Vardahoth

Both are base level 41 and ungeared. After doing the conditional math with the health training (80 - 10 = 70, Ghalius Hp/Mp - 70):

Ch1 rng difference = -8 HP (Whats max range?)

Ch1 rng difference = +7 MP (Whats max range?)

What else are you not showing us that is rng stats?

Accuracy?

Atk/Cast Speed?

Crit rates?

Gathering, fishing?

Drop rates?

Actual attack/defense power?

Run Speed?

What is the range on these rng numbers per base level? I had two guild members (archers level 52) confirm the difference of their hp/mp is 1/52. How high does the range number go, or is it indefinite?

Is this meant for rng or is it just a bug? Whats the formula for leveling up the stats? Is it like ff7 where the formula forces you to keep your hp/mp at average numbers per number of expected level (with an rng of 1-8), or is it just pure rng??

I really hope it's a bug, as someone who has no luck with rng, I would hate to have forced rng in my base stats upon level up.

I think the developers (or better yet managers) at least owe us an answer to this...

rng should apply to certain things yes but leveling should yield the same amount of hp and stam/mana for same classes across the board.

This is kind of bad. In other places you can more or less re-roll the results of RNG or try again. Kind of hard to reroll a character if you invested heavily in its life skills or bought inventory/costumes on that char.

arghhhhh. if this is true, at least for me kind of puts a big downer on the game. means there is a possibility that a character you have been enjoying developing can get some real crap rolls on basic stats as you get higher - and then you have to make a new char and try again?

thanks for this info op. has anybody else had time to try this out? i will try it out tomorrow morning. i gotta sleep . . .

Maybe that explains why my warrior sucks ^^ in all seriousness this is terrible some people with bad RNG could have a lot less health

Could it be linked to your stamina, strength and health stats maybe?

There could be RNG or it could be hidden variables - maybe like the type of MOB killed, where, when how, the distance you've travelled etc. etc.

whatever it is I would personally appreciate confirmation of this from a CM.

i don't care about the ins and outs, just whether there are variables or it is RNG. The community will figure out the ranges and if variables are present, they will get figured out - but would be nice to know what basic mechanics the game is working with/to.

If true, this makes absolutely no sense.  What game designer would ever consider a system where you got random stats upon leveling?

Are you guys dumb? Can't you see that the health level is DIFFERENT ???

Health level gives health... what a surprise!

I mean.... what other use could the freaking health level have???

MP per level, although it's not in the description when you hover your mouse :3

I believe random HP awards go all the way back to the original DIKU MUD.

You may not have noticed, but games of chance are very popular. ;)

^ I think so too.

But if it is not, I can see a different stat growth from your chosen zodiac sign.
Perhaps one has more luck, which is why others have more luck using black stones.
Another has a better hp pool on higher level while another has better stamina?

This makes sense.

Also, basic D&D rules meant you rolled for your hitpoints each level. Nothing new in RPGs.

Lol gotta say all in all. Every feature is annoying enough to give you a headache but not enough for the community to leave. Well done. This feature is like Windows 10 nobody asked for it.
