"Exp from fishing has been adjusted based on the grade of what is caught."

So, like it says in the title, it seems they did something to exp of fish depending on the grade.  Now, I had thought this was ALREADY the case but it seems it isn't.  The only question that remains is does it mean level exp, as in your own personal experience?  Or is it based on fishing life skill exp, where the grade of the fish gives more exp towards the life skill?

I'm leaning towards life skill, as the exp to personal level seems to be unchanged regardless of quality of fish.

Grade of your fishing rod not skill

example: steel gets more higher quality fish than thick

Fishing level only dictates the fishing rod you can use.

Fishing skill (from equipment, food, potions) increase the speed of catching a fish

How is that even remotely related to what op asked about or to what xxGildarts said?
Also what he said is right, better grade of caught fish = more fishing xp (didn't check if it gives you more actual lvl xp too, but might be true)

I'm not going to trot out a table of before/after numbers, but as a Skilled 6 I can attest that in general I'm getting noticeably more exp over time than before. Before, it was quite common for gold catches to yield no noticeable exp and really only blue catches like "Swordfish" to bump you up by 1%. But for example I just looked closely at 3 fish in a row:

Gold Nibbler: +1% exp > Blue Herring: +1% exp > WHITE Jellyfish: +1% exp

That +1% for a Jellyfish pretty much blew my mind.

Point being, I never saw exp move this fast before the patch. And being in the Skilled range, I never saw a white catch bump me another 1% immediately after the previous catch had already bumped me.
