Melee and world boss really a problem?

I'm lvl54 valk with 78ap / 171dp
did kzarky boss for the first time today, joined in the bossfight at 80% health.
died 4 times
got loot

Makes me wonder if the melee WB problem isn't as bad as it is on every boss except rednose (because rednose is a teleporting -----)

*Died at the last minute and the boss died just as I was about to enter room, still got loot

Thoughts?

Don't you lose crystals and exp when you die? Meaning melee dies way more than ranged (if ranged die at all).

I did lose 1 crystal and I was already at 0% exp

The crystals are cheap enough to replace.

It's not as bad as forums make it out to be, even ranged die. It's just a matter of learning boss patterns like any other boss fight in the history of gaming.

If anything they just need to fix the teleporting shit, and we're good.

3 stones, 200k, 4 hunter seals, ancient coin
Nobody got anything that got a channel announcement so I'm pretty sure everyone who got drops got similar to me.

Kzarka is an exeption... try rednose as a melee... or dastard bheg.
Let me know again how you died only once and still had loot.

It's not as bad as forums make it out to be, even ranged die. It's just a matter of learning boss patterns like any other boss fight in the history of gaming.

If anything they just need to fix the teleporting shit, and we're good.

*Desync occurs and boss instantly does move and does a one 80 with no animation, dies*

I lost count of how many times Kzarka is magically looking at me with an attack when less than a second before he was facing the complete opposite direction. A combo of desync and the "flinch" animation of bosses highly screws up knowing patterns.

Its fair to say,  Melee are at a severe disadvantage.  The only time Melee exceed ranged, is on boss stun mechanics, such as rifle / flute,  as there output dps, outclasses ranged.

Mk, range get killed from that problem as well. I've also never experience that as bad as you described it, probably done about 20 bosses in the past week alone though. As a valk. Sounds like a personal problem.

Every Kzarka I've done in this past week has been that way. Even with everything turned off, and bare minimum graphical options on. Ranged get killed by it yes, but they do not get killed by it as often since most of the abilities and attacks are melee range only. Essentially, for a ranged to get killed by, they have to move closer than they actually need to be.

Reminder they have two drop pools one for high dps and one for low dps.

I believe the low pool still has a chance of getting good loot since it's a system made to make sure the top dps on the server don't always get the best loot.
