All wagons have base weight limit number of inventory slots x 45LT and it can be upgraded via badges (example: http://bddatabase.net/us/item/53707/).

All equipment for wagons is either for two-wheeled or four-wheeled wagon. It means that you can use badge or cover for noble wagon with any four-wheeled wagon, even with the cheapest farm wagon.

White wagon:

  • Durability: 5100
  • Base wieght limit: 540 LT (12 inventory slots x 45)
  • Lifespan: 990,001

Would be nice if the 2-wheeled wagons could be pulled by a Donkey (even if at a slower speed).  A donkey pulling a shabby cart would be teh awesumsauce

Thankyou very much! I had the same difficulty, searching high and low for info on which wagon to buy before I started Trading/Training. After awhile I started collecting the data then thought, "If I had as much frustration and trouble trying to find all this info, surely I'm not the only one tearing their hair out right now..." and voila! I made my first post. Have also added the pricing column as suggested, actually started keeping track of that myself when I had to buy one, but then I took forever to update...

Good job adding the note in about the Impact Absorb. I would have missed that, tired as I am right now.

Good info on the base weights, Garkin, and a million-times yes on the 2W vs 4W applicability of wagon parts, something that isn't immediately obvious at the start unless you read the tool-tips carefully (and even then, some of the text is heywhatnow...)

I've been using farm for a while. Should I upgrade? Or is there no difference in speed

I started out using the Farm Wagon as well, due to cost, pre-Mediah patch and too busy chasing horses instead of fishing.

There is no difference in speed, but it really depends what purpose you are using the wagon for - my personal opinion is, if it's to train horses, you'll be better off with something that can pull 4 horses while you're afk auto-looping and/or trading (you're going that distance anyway). I'd pick single-riding to focus on when you have a particular horse you want to level-up and breed quickly, or once the wagon-horses start hitting L20 or so. And while you're active and riding around in the bush taming horses, you can gallop back to the stable at full-speed and it'll teleport along with you - or you can run. Just be careful if your guild is at war, or if you get stuck on a rock in the middle of mobs, as the wild horse is fairly squishy.

If you're trading, you'd still be better off with something that can carry more items - especially if you nab something at say, 3500 silver per item @ 90%, drag it across the continent for 16-20% distance bonus, at 120-200% buying price, and if you're lucky additional bargain-bonus... then times that by the 4 extra slots you had available to carry that shipment... I'm shit at math, but I remember being glad I had the extra slots when I needed them and got a payload back, and this is still at mid-Apprentice levels btw. From what I've heard, it's a bit like Alchemy, slow to start but rewarding at higher skill.

But if speed is all that matters, and you only use it to carry stuff while grinding/farming mobs, then stick with farm-wagon to level T1/T2 horses for money and chuck a craftable/purchased Wagon Wheel on there for additional speed. Note, however, that the wheel for Farm Wagon at base stat level is 1% speed increase, while the Merchant Wagon is 2% and all Wagon Wheel speeds (and other accessories) can be increased with the use of Black Stone Armor.

Next major update that isn't more wagon stats/photos will probably include the Wagon accessories and their stats-scale with Black Stones... will see how bored I get this weekend :D
