random comment, I'm glad that the fishermen got to have a fish costume. But why couldn't the horse breeders have a horse costume! Imagine how cool that would be.

Where did I say that there should not be any more options?

All I'm saying is, there are options in game to cover yourself if you are that bothered. But one should also learn to accept the reality of games like this and the art direction the developers choose to take because those lobbying for more coverage for female armors are the minority like it or not, and they are not likely going to change a formula that has proven to net them profits, and also, not everyone one is uncomfortable looking at the human body.

This is why Dalriaden thinks you don't want diversity, most likely. No one said anything about having a problem with looking at the human body or asking to change their formula; for players who like the current costume sets, great! Wear them all you like. You are extrapolating a desire to do away with current costume pieces from my desire to, simply, have more options. After all, why should people who prefer different styles be left out when new content comes around? Branching out certainly won't harm the developers; one style inevitably won't please everyone.

I have that attire already, I'm glad it wasn't a witch in a bikini + riding helmet.

But come on!!! wearing a horse shaped/design costume + riding a horse = wins the game.

I would ride around all day judging everybody.

"then if you wanna be covered how about don't spend your money at all and stay clothed"

" if you just want the cash shop set bonuses you can either deal with the art direction the devs chose or you can turn off the outfit all together and still have your bonuses. "

I have no problems with the current costumes, but if the purpose of forums is to give feedback, some of us would be enticed to spend money on costumes if we had different options. People are free to play the game how they want wearing what armor they want in what costume/outfit they want, I could care less, hell at some point I'm sure I'll probably pick up a skimpy outfit if there's one that amuses me. The wilderness outfit for musa would look fine on maehwa, we don't get it, instead we get a summer dress. I'm not even a roleplayer but come on. Same goes for valkyrie. Maybe not everyone wants to tank in a miniskirt.

So now, saying that one should deal with the REALITY of the situation is the same as saying "there should be no more options"
Got it.

Also, honestly, when you're not creating the costumes what you personally "want" is immaterial. These are the options given, you can choose to use them or not. Clearly, there is a majority of players who are perfectly fine with the costumes we have/will be getting.  That's not to say that you can't wish for other things, but we already know what is coming as far as cash shop items, so why do you think a thread like this is worthwhile and will change anything?

I guess people just enjoy creating problems where there are none based on their personal opinions on how things "should" be.

I'm actually enjoying the direction this thread is heading, purely from a social experiment standpoint.

I, as a straight hetero male, take notice of something that many women have complained about: the disparity in armor variation between men and women, and the "chainmail bikini" syndrome. I decide to make a post visualizing this rather than describing it, in the most easy to see way, so that others can see the dilemma. I was trying to be supportive, if you will.

I made a mistake along the way, though. In my second to last sentence, I make use of the word "hooker". A single word out of about 50, plus some pictures. The focus of a large portion of these replies are on THAT word. Not the content of the thread; not the overall goal of the thread. No... the word hooker.

Suddenly, by attempting to "white knight" it, I have become a misogynist pig; before making this thread, I was not (or at least, not perceived as one. Whether I am or not is up for debate, maybe?)

Now, what's most interesting to me is the fact that I would be actually better off not having said anything at all, and instead stood on the sidelines screaming "MOAR BOOBIES!" like the rest. Why? Well, for one thing I wouldn't be singled out as the sole misogynist douchebag of the thread. And for another I would get to see moar boobies, which as a guy is always fun. And the personal cost to myself in taking this route? Practically none at all; not even a slap on the wrist.

I can honestly say that, had I not at least enjoyed the educational value of this thread, I would have greatly regretted making this post. And I can assure you, I will never make another like it. I have learned my lesson.

People just gotta find a way to be offended these days. I fail to see why having options for both is a big deal. Since when are more options a bad thing??? Apologies ahead of time for all those that I offend with this statement

This thread again.  A male uncomfortable with females showing off their assets, so scared even they can't show it to a coworker which is even stranger.  I bet if males showed some muscles though or something similar, you would still be making this thread.

The OP isn't saying take away that option, he's saying also give the option to actually wear some damn armor.

Why is it not femenine to wear armor if they want?  Why are women required to show off their assets?  How is that not sexist?

The problem there isn't that female skin is showing, it is that there is no other options. It doesn't contradict any feminist idea to have the liberty to choose to wear something that cover or to choose to not cover it. Having the option removed makes it a removal of the liberty to choose thus making it against feminist idea.

Johan of arc? (or whatever Janne d'arc is in your language)

Someone's idea of her anyway.  In English they usually go with Joan of Arc, no h.  My language matters little, but I would spell her name Jeanne instead of Janne.

...

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with wanting the option to give an armored woman... well, some armor.   Frankly, people in combat don't tend to want their precious parts more exposed than necessary.  That just makes them easier targets.

I would not be offended if you pointed out that prostitutes tend to dress in a sexual manner

I am offended that you imply any girl who dresses in a manner to emphasize her sexuality is dressing "like a hooker"

This is why these threads always rub me the wrong way.

There's nothing wrong with wanting some more conservative options for premium costumes, but if your reasoning is that you think revealing clothes make a woman ''look like a hooker'', you're the problem.  Skimpy outfits aren't sexist, but thinking women who wear them are dressing like hookers certainly is.

Princess Pauline von Metternich and Russian-born Countess Anastasia Kielmansegg agreed to a duel in the summer of 1892, after a disagreement erupted between the two, which was though to be over the flower arrangements for an upcoming Vienna Musical Theatrical Exhibition.

However, the decision to duel topless was not made by the two rivals, but was actually a safety precaution recommended by Baroness Lubinska, a female medic who oversaw the sword fight that took place in Vaduz, the capitol of Liechtenstein.

Baroness Lubinska told the women that that many minor dueling injuries became septic due to strips of clothing being forced into a wound by a pointed sword. In order to avoid the unseen danger, she advised them to remove their clothing from the waist up.

More options is always good. Noone should have to settle. The problem is that the in-game armor sets are quite boring. It's not much of a choice, either stay with boring or buy some overly sexual outfit. Karlstein is still the best of the bunch. All the new outfits being released are starting to blend together. Kibelius was some white and gold thing and now we have another white and gold thing. How about mixing things up? And where are all the cool and bad ass looking outfits? It's not impossible to design something sexy and bad ass at the same time. The majority of the female outfits are just a bit heavy on the fan service side at the moment.

On Witch for example, the Dreaming Stars is the only other interesting outfit available. But that color scheme though. :| I don't want to play with gamble box dyes.

I love this game, I really do. The gameplay is awesome; the graphics are simply out of this world. But as of late, I've started to notice something that just makes me feel... well, almost creepy for even playing.

What am I talking about? Well, I won't describe it to you, but rather will simply SHOW you. Below are side by side comparisons of the Warrior and the Valkyrie:

Now, I think options are great. If your character is attractive and wants to show off their assets, go for it! But wouldn't it also make sense to offer at least ONE costume for each class, just 1 out of the 4 or 5 each has, that is just the tiniest bit more badass, as opposed to skimpy and hookerish er, I mean, cutesy.

Just saying. Even as a straight dude, this is getting downright weird for me. I'm getting embarrassed to show this game off to coworkers.

That's all. Let the flaming begin.

inb4 I get called a prude.

EDIT: I was called a misogynist instead. Unexpected, but educational.

Vienna in the late 1800s was rife with syphilis and insanity, so kudos for their topless dueling technique.

The point of wearing metal armor is to prevent penetration from other metal objects.  Your article is dealing with people who would only be wearing cloth...

"septic due to strips of clothing being forced into a wound by a pointed sword"

Which is basically what we have now.  I take it you are therefore pro fullplate, for health and wellness reasons.

Oh nah, that wasn't directed at you.  I just felt the need to reply because I have anti-SJW co-workers who complain incessantly about SJWs.  Ironically (coincidentally?) I've never had a bad encounter with a SJW, and my co-workers' endless whining is far more annoying than someone being aggressive about being nice to people.

This is a Korean MMO....which inherently means the women are going to be scantily clad. The company that makes the game is Korean, their publisher is Korean.

Complaining about this stuff is like watching porn and complaining that the people are having sex. If you don't like seeing it play an MMO that doesn't have armor like this and if they do then ask them to censor it because your virgin eyes can't handle it.
