Ranger range to low ?

Is it just me or does ranger bow range is way to low. I mean we can't even shot someone at second side of street in Calpheon. Most of time we fight on distance of stinking breath...

What are skills that do shit damage and some not used ever, Alex

Ranger is a mid-close range class that uses shotgun with the worst defensive abilities.

He wasn't complaining about dmg.. but Range, which is not true.

And most of these skills will deal more dmg later, when we can stack more AP.

Stacking AP so stuff hits harder how is this different for any other class out there though >.<

Most skills will deal more damage when we get more ap? Last I checked this is what AP dose for skills for all classes in the game. I dont see your point in saying this.

If you ever watched some KR videos, you would know some of those skills  will actually hurt.

He said the skills deal shit dmg which is true at this moment, but later it will change.

Well, it actually depends how balanced AP DP stat scaling we get after +15

To be fair, the only skill which might classify as "long range" in the Ranger's kit is Penetrating Wind. That's probably the only attack whose range can be comparable to the one of a "true" longbow (assuming the arrow is fired in a straight line).

All the other attacks have a very tiny range for the "longbow" we are supposedly wielding. But heh, this is probably a game-balancing issue.

Q and it's cancel is pretty far too imo, not on the level of the sniping shot; but still "bow level"

I don't know about range...but in this state of the game...ranger suck...no cc(and don't tell me about the q or penetrating...i mean a good cc with high % for success)...they nerfed the shotgun when most of players had 80-120 dp...but now with 200+ dp it's different...we consume high mana and the range of shotgun is ridiculous...if we go for shotgun in battlefield we wll be cc by wizards and sorceress

Rangers don't suck really, it's a very high skill-cap class that takes more effort to play than a lot of the other classes in the game. A sorceress can lazily i-frame around, tossing out the occasional CC when she feels it's a good time, retreating when she gets low on stamina. Whenever a CC lands, she dashes to melee range and chunks the target for 75% or all of their HP. Witches/Wizards have multiple long ranged abilities with a CC component on nearly every ability, as well as innate tankiness, self-heals, and a blink. 

Ranger's need to manage our stamina/mana extremely well so that we can burst half-decently while still maintaining high enough stamina to i-frame 2 or 3 times if necessary. We have to camera-lock strafe to gap close to a target, praying that they die because once we burst we're essentially sitting ducks and need to play very cautiously immediately afterwards. 

Every class has high skill-cap mechanics that they need to master, but it isn't usually integral to their class succeeding whatsoever. With ranger, unless you out-gear your opponent by a pretty large margin, there's a lot of effort required to win most fights. 

 

At least we can be proud when we outplay a sorceress or a valkyrie, because handling ranger's is cake to them.
