Not even a day after its full release, but Blade and Soul is already being spammed with Gold sellers

No trading doesn't stop them. They even spam in Skyforge, another game with no trading. 9_9

There will always be spammers. Just as someone mentioned Derpforge has no trading at all and it's loaded with them. Energy needed to chat will help reduce the annoying spam somewhat though

I noticed the same , even in the early release ( so pay to play ) they were there.

We would have some spammers even without trading for gullible players that don't know we have no player trading and they will get scammed.

We have B2P model so this will stop them. Invest 30€ to get ban in 5 minutes :)

Hopefully that will be enough to deter them for a while.

I think the best option to avoid getting your chat box filled with spammers.. If the game mastes dont ban them.. and give us the option to block (which usually is in every game)

With the banning of these spammers they just create a new character. and spam with that then. but then yet.. they will have to buy 30 euro package again to spam. or in worse cases.. they hack some ones account with a scam to continue.

so i would say... just let em spam it.. and just block it.as a person.

Technically it does in the financial sense, most of those would just be scams to get your account and/or money.  You just wouldn't be able to purchase much from them besides accounts with so-so stuff.  That problem sorts itself out though, rather leave it at that heh

I accepted the gold spammer as part of the game since a long time ago.

I dont even care about them anymore cuz its pointless and just makes you not enjoying the game.

You need to accept and live with certain things.

Or kill it with fire... Creating bonfire so big, it will scare even their furthest families...

Doubt it.  If the game is popular, they will show up regardless if it's P2P, B2P or F2P.  FF14 had them, Tera NA had them during P2P, spamming shouts right in front of a GM in game.

Saying there will be goldsellers anyway because other games had them is silly when you ask for features that enable goldselling because other games have them...
Other games have them because they have the same features that are exploited. Black Deserts economy works very differently to other games and I can tell you that gold sellers are NOT a problem in other versions of the game.

Trading has nothing to do with it. Trading, economy, life to the game is central.. This just makes BD a lifeless, fighting game, Something you would see on xbox :(

Yeah, the trade system does have a very single player feel to it currently. It has enough depth and complexity that it could be expanded into some very interesting PVE and PVP mechanics. Maybe if we're lucky the devs will actually do that.

However trading between player A and Player B directly isnt something that should necessarily be implemented. Don't guilds have a communal storage? If you really need to do a personal trade, do it through your guild storage.

You can pretty much have economy even without direct player to player trading...

You would just use indirect trading, that is harder to use by gold sellers.

How difficult is it for developers to make a system that checks chat logs and mutes anyone who says same thing over and over again?

Bunch of people report person in chat, the system sees hundreds of players reporting same person for been gold spammer, system checks the chat logs, sees repeating message, sees the the person been level 1, than suspends or deletes the account (also ban by hardware/ip just in case). There also can be some fine tuning on the message recognition, so you can actually distinguish websites and links.

I know it wouldn't stop gold spammers completely, but for amount of time it takes them to create an account, and then get into the game, it wouldn't be worth it if they get muted, suspended and then account banned/deleted few minutes later, and that would help greatly, while been fully automated too (they can always mark questionable entries for human review, but their job would be come much easier with automated system in place)

It seems like if they want to make this kick ass game, and want it to survive, its totally worth putting time and effort into making system like that, not to say they can always use it in future titles, or even sell it.

I welcome the bots. They would need to pay 30$ per account, no refund if caught RMT. If a GM is monitoring the chat constantly, thats $30 every one click of the ban hammer.
They will eventually decline until it becomes unsustainable to stay in BDO.

doesn't work that way. EVE Online has the greatest economic system in MMO history. Even the Devs say they are not sure how it happened. The bots are still there but they are easy to deal with. (we just kill them)The gold sellers LOL not many left now. As you can buy PLEX in game an convert it for ISK. Job done sorted.

What devs have done here, si remove part of their playerbase who love to do trading, dumb down the game to an enhanced xbox fighting game, an make it very unMMO like.. it's sad to say the least.
