This is the worst update ever..

Making bosses hit for less now ensures more people do them and even less chances of loot now because of terrible loot table mechanics.

Removing the XP loss from PvP deaths removes a risk system that was a huge premise of the PvP function and actually now encourages more griefing.

Velia 01 was my home now there are going to be more annoying people in World chat, thanks! (PS: I'm not actually grateful.. and that was a sarcastic thanks).

That change basically will take out major part out of the top player base. The largest incentive to grinding/gearing up is so that you can stand for what you want. Removing this makes the game pointless. Time to go back to Ultima Online and murder every carebear.

find it funny how people say RiP PvP just because you don't lose exp from death anymore. Are some of you guys even thinking a bit or you just following the braindead trend?

Death on pk is not punishing anymore but that won't make people stop to pk you. It costs also time to die everytime and run back which yields into more loss then gain. The only problem there is is the karma loss for it, this needs to be adressed maybe by decreasing the rate of karma you lose by 50%.

I love patch, now i can actually fight back when 2 or more people come and try to get out me from my grind spot <3

Okay, since there is a mechanic in game to know who initiates a PvP attack, that person and only that person should risk losing xp. It should be griefing that is discouraged not defending yourself. 

Nobody should have exclusive rights to a grind spot. I haven't had a problem with the system as it was, but if I was ganked repeatedly just because I was trying to finish a quest on someone's "turf" I'd be pretty pissed. Most of the time it wasn't a problem because I finish my quest and move on, but some quests take a long time to finish. I can see it being a problem, and so I can understand the change even if I find it a bit too broad in scope. Hopefully, when node warfare begins the "turf warriors" will have a viable outlet for their PvP lust.

Karma loss is too low now so I don't like the idea of lowering it just because people can't be punished in some other way.

Funny how all the "pvpers" QQ about the exp loss removal. Claiming the pvp is useless now, or that griefing will start more.

 

Didn't you all ask for more pvp? Didn't everyone ask for more open world pvp which was more balanced? You just got a free ticket to pvp about 25 times more and actually got a game where pvping is more inviting and more challenging.

Everyone complaining about this change is no pvper, but a grinding pver, don't EVER call yourself a pvper. Any proper pvper will welcome this change as this invites better pvp, more frequent and in larger numbers. This change is 100% good for all kinds of pvp. Stop trying to hide behind the fact you're claiming spots as "pvp".

So the loss of other players is what made PvP interesting to some or good in general? That's kinda sad really. 

If you really want to keep "your" grind spot just keep killing the "intruders" till they get bored and stop coming (notice the use of ".."). It will take them some time to return anyway during which you are free to grind as you please. I don't get it why someone has to suffer a penalty for trying to play the game the same way you are (even if that means grinding the same mobs). Or suffer that penalty by dying to some "badass" kid while doing anything in the game (afk thingies included). The whole PvP system is pretty badly designed overall anyway so such a change will have minimal impact to it. So yeah...great change. Not to mention the new horsies which are always welcome :) 

You do know that you can't just "keep killing someone" right? There is a punishment for the player doing all the killing - called Karma.

All of you idiots saying "farm faster than the other person are just delusional. How hard is it for me as a troll to come and steal 2 or 3 sections of your loop from you before you get there just to intentionally hinder you farming?  Just staying one group ahead of you as you farm to steal your mobs is not difficult. Now that there is no penalty for dying the people who play games to just be dicks and troll can do it without any reprecussions. Git gud

Thats no the same its not about letting other ppl lose XP..its about keeping them away from a spot! But now they will just come back since all they lose is time

It can already be felt: the whole world feels like its a ton of NPCs running around, ignoring each other. My excitement is gone. I am just board. It is so bad, I simply shut off the game and went to do something else.

While yeah this new pvp change is a bit awkward given the current layout of the system, I'm more glad than not to see this change. This game has far too many mechanic in the game that are unwelcoming/unfriendly to new comers, and that needs to be dealt with, if the price a slightly less pleasant grind for the top cats then so be it. Gotta remember, majority > minority, and the only people who are really going to feel sore about this are those players in the upper tier who think they need to constantly min max the grind until they burn out.

+1 to the not losing EXP when pked.  Great update.  Now can we protect afk fishers and afkers in general from PKers and griefers who eat top ramen 4x a day who like to kill them?
