+16-20 gear and tamer

I've heard from others that when those higher enchant levels are released our doggy will melt like butter and essentially be useless in pvp. Void Lightning is heavily dependent on doggy and a major part of pvp for a tamer. So with awakenings coming out in like 1-2 months time does that mean that tamers are basically going to be useless for before they are released?

Possibly yes, possibly no. Some resent changes to damage calculations and heilang lately. We don't know the build we're getting.

But definitely Doggy melts pretty fast when people get beyond 200AP.

I'm pretty sure Heilang was already changed to not get blown up by +20 people, in exchange for having much lower damage, and offsetting that damage onto the Tamer herself. So that he's still useful and present for his CC capabilities, which in my opinion is how it should be.

With the patch it took a whole group of wizards in node wars spamming away to knock off 20% of heilang's health the entire duration of the CD summon, so yes, it's most likely fixed for at least 18+ weapons.

immortal heilang is not just for show anymore, even though he technically does have a HP bar.

once people's average ap is 240 not 140 and awakening skills which scale very hard are released then I do believe pets will die a lot faster in that type of pvp (maybe die once every few minutes) but just remember we still will get that immune to damage spell for heilang with awakening which should allow us for 100% uptime!

Yeah, with the recent patch heilang now does almost no damage but has a greatly increased amount of health. I brought him to red nose wold boss and he tanked a lot of hits but still didn't die. His HP bar did move though.

one thing i know for sure is doggy's hp is fixed and scale from skill, which means it wont get better stat when we have higher gear/level.

 

the other part i know that in Korean servers, they do converting accuracy into penetration somehow, which is the reason why doggy melts like butter because doggy has a fixed level (55) as well. this is kind of funny, when your character is level 60 but your pet is still level 55.....

people with tri+ gear will have at least 150+ ap, dog dp is fixed at 54 skill level, pretty obvious that it will melt.

our doggy its just bugged, no other version has this immortal dog, yet its actually a pretty good fix for tamer at high gear/level.

our doggy its just bugged, no other version has this immortal dog, yet its actually a pretty good fix for tamer at high gear/level.

I doubt it's bugged, as it's too methodological to be bugged. There are so many moving parts that were spontaneously balanced with a uber DP doggie.

What might happen though is they will semi revert it when awakening comes because you can use the 1min invincibility skill.

Well, I'd say it's bugged. Our awakening weapon gives us a skill that buffs our dog and makes it invincible for 1 or 2 minutes? (with a 3 minute CD). The recent buff that makes our pet unkillable basically makes that skill useless. Keep in mind that skill was implemented to "fix" the high AP dog melting in KR.

As it is right now I feel very useful in sieges, dashing around stunning enemy backlines or kicking assasins going for my wizards in to the air. Heilangs survivability is really strong at the moment, but his damage in terms of % of enemy healthbar is dropping every day it seems.
