15-18 enchanting, how long does it take or how much money does it require?

Just wondering how ridiculous the rng will be and if getting 15-18 makes a big difference.

I quit this game for like a month because i pushed 23 black stones into my secondary weapon trying to go to a +8 and lost them all. For some reason I have been getting an itch to come back and play, I am a "h4rdc0re" gamer so I'm fine with putting in hours but I don't want to take 500 hours to get to +18. I've heard +18 is the spot where you can at least pvp someone decently vs 95% of players, so that is my aim.

we dont know so how the hell are we supposed to give you an answer ?

its pointless trying to ask something at this point when the game is changing so much for our version which means we cant go by what happens in KR etc.

youl have to wait and see thats all i know and thats all anyone knows!

23 stones is a drop in the ocean compared to what's coming.  To get a liverto to plus 15 could cost you well over 100 million, so plus 18 is going to be frighteningly hard and grindy.

our system seems to be going through a LOt of changes so is impossible to tell.

But in KR, 16 to 17 isn't that hard, 18 is where the soul crushing rng starts.

that's really sad (in sense of no luck with rng) , tbh I hate gambling so I forced enchant everything above +10.. sure I did not win money like that but I know the cost and it was faster. Now it'll probably be ver very expensive, if you got lots of money ingame it can go very fast and if no money very slow. simple things  enhancing from 0 to 15 with weapon costs 97 blackstones if forced   '290 000' or 230 000 if lucky  x 97   is price of black stones alone, now the weapon for repairs is also x times   .....   imagine that those new stones will instead of  200 000 - 300 000 be a few millions.. well .. u better go play and get rich  ^^

Switch characters and save the 23 stack for later down the road or just force it lol.

Hardcore gamer and you quit over 23 black stones?  lol.  First of all if you were hardcore that would mean nothing.  Second of all you should have done it with fail stacks or at least forced... its 2 black stones to go from 7 to 8... lul.

Try starting at 25 fail stacks with a +14 liverto and failing up to 45 failstacks.  Do that when the mem frags are 700k each and relics are 600k each.  Then get back to me :).

first thing I thought of, minus the "bruh" part

I still tell horror stories about one guys 87 stacks for +15 or was it 78....

either way, that's nothing compared to the soul sucking hell of ultimating

(side note, Ultimating is not a word but it says Ultima_ting is. GG spell check

To answer OPs question, getting +18 isn't terribly difficult.  Getting +16 you can do at 0 stacks as each enchant will start with around a 20% success rate, so you hardly need to use a stack there.  +17 can be done fairly easily on a 20-25 stack depending on RNG, and +18 if you want to be safe go on a 35 stack, though many people have done it on a 25 stack in KR as they made it easier.  A couple other notes:

1: For the people saying our version will be different, please stop.  It really won't be.  KR will probably get the forced enchantment method as well soon, and don't expect there to be any difference in AP / DP values per enchant, not how hard it is to enchant.

2: Never force enchant.  Stacks are pure gold.  Failing is a good thing if you're building stacks, which you should be doing at every point in the game.  People that force enchant are purely throwing money away.  It is also 100% not cost effective with the massive durability loss, especially if using armor or weapons that require fragments.

Thats because you are geared already

What you going to grind around on a -----ing yuria +8 with 30 failstacks? hoping for multiple witches to pri/duo?  No you are going to try and get +15 on that weapon first as its the most ap gain.
If you have shit rng you best force to +10 because you will lose alot of money such as the OP did.  23 black stones to +8 lul please.  If you are still gearing those fail stacks go into the weapon anyways.  Just like the OP's did.

When you get to that high of a stack use it on something more difficult and fresh start to retain the value of the stacks. Think of stacks as more valuable than the stones.

You attempt to upgrade your armor till you get a couple fail stacks, then attempt to upgrade your weapon.  Geared or not this has always been the best course of action, even when upgrading my first set of gear.  Stones are not hard to get.  As for the stacks, just because the OP cannot use them immediately, does not make them any less useful.  Being short sighted is how you fall behind in this game really quickly.

What are "stacks"?

failed enchantments, when you fail and it goes +1, +2, +3,.... your odds of success increase each time.

So a high stack, like +25, is valuable, to use on enchanting a rare accessory as much as it is "bad luck"!

Force is not bad, it's just averaged.

My liverto barely broke even on the fail stack method, that I could have force enchanted for the same dura lost total amount.

Give and take, especially when we go pass +16 force enchant maybe the only real option with downgrade.

And armor...screw that force all the way these days unless you are intentionally building fail stacks, and why would you with +18

If you quit for a month because you lost 23 blackstones then you are not "h4rdc0re" and you should not be playing this game.

Maybe he's trying to say he's "hfourrdzerore", which is the new nickname for those who quit because they got stacks. Quitting because you get stacks in BDO is like quitting because you got DKP in a raid game.
