Sorry you saw it that way. Whether or not we disagreed back then, I've read your more recent posts and we can certainly find common ground on fixing some more pertinent issues before NA launch with the game. I look forward to pushing on those harder, perhaps we can get some major changes in before they lock down the NA version (PvP, economy). I remain optimistic :)

The forum does not allow edits to OP. Wanted to post a "too long didnt read", something more to the point without the fluff and nonsense that half of you reading this can see right through.

The short:

  • We have been focusing on siege-PvP MMOs for 8+ years now. We started with Guild Wars 2, went to Wildstar, Archeage, GW2 again, etc. We know what works, we know what doesn't. More importantly, we have the history and videos to show for it.
  • We didn't play a ton of KR. We went in to decide if the game meant anything to us, smashed some faces, got smashed by others, and decided "yea, this PvP kicks ass". We went to play more competitive stuff since. It's not uncommon to see members talking about their rank in CS:GO or League. But we all know League is a shit game now anyway. *hides*
  • We have a core of ~100 members. The community (which includes Guild Wars 2 and a large Star Citizen component) is over 600 active. We're large, expect that.
  • We believe in aptitude that you cannot simply teach in large-scale PvP. We have always fielded strong smaller competitive teams for arenas/tournaments and believe every member only brings the best of what their individual skill can achieve.
  • We've seen highs and lows. We're old enough to have seen what tears guilds apart, especially some of the new ones you see popping up all over for Black Desert KR/RU. We have one of the most static and consistent rosters out there, and simply offer stability to interested players.
  • We believe in an "IRL comes first" approach. We don't require "forum posting" or other trivial things, and don't have required raid nights. Instead we believe in maintaining a larger roster so for example if you need to spend time with your wife/child, you don't need to give BS excuses to do so. We'll be just fine.

The TS environment: Our members often drink while PvPing, we have a lot of women who trash talk right along with the men, and we simply enjoy coordination and organization after a long day of work. Be respectful, but point out mistakes. Don't be afraid of "leadership" - call it for what it is, and you'll fit right in. We don't care if you can only raid on night a week, as long as your chill and fun to be around. We fuck up a lot, and we smash faces a lot too, and we laugh about it every step of the way. Welcome to the gang.

Like in the OP, we're accepting apps, but not processing any yet. Reality is we are going to barely have room for many others in the guild, and when we start selecting, we're only going to pick the apps that stand out to us. Here is the link: Application Survey

Lol, who were you in AA? I'm assuming we lost you when we decided to leave and give away all of our castles. Should join us again for BDO :)

Well Rage isn't exactly the same as FC, so time will tell. Definitely a different flavor. I haven't had the chance to witness anything good or bad about FC. We weren't on their server.

We played on Enla, took all 4 castles (one extra by political maneuvering, one extra by force) and on a high note owning everything in the server (all bosses on farm for just our own guild) left the game due to p2w mechanics and personal disdain for Trion, among other reasons of course where we just simply got tired of random certain things not being fixed/balanced. Even on top of the entire server, it really upset us to no end that various mechanics were never addressed/fixed, but that's old news I guess. From what I understand FC made similar progress, though with a lot more drama.

Black Desert is a new game with a new scene, so we'll see what happens. Should be a ton of fun.

If anyone wants to hang out in Discord, we're giving it a good test run with members: https://discord.gg/0W9KQopP22CqxwY9

All are welcome, we love the trolls too - just keep the racism/bigotry out.

Though we talk about BDO all day long, understand most of us are practicing PvP in Guild Wars 2 (sieges) to keep group-coordination momentum fresh and relevant. We are also heavily engaged in arenas/SPvP. You're more likely to get an answer asking to join our siege in GW2 than to party with you in KR BD. When US beta hits, that all changes of course.

I was on Archeage as well and witnessed first hand the destructive force which is Legacy, I played earlier on and led one of the bigger guilds on Enla east, only second in size to the Brave Noobies, named Dishonor.

It was fun to level up and my guild had high aspirations, with a skilled pvp core, we already had to deal with fighting our own people (guilds like Brave Noobies and their alliance they tried to threaten me into), I thought that was a crazy challenge in and of itself, little did I know that to the west there was something even more destructive than we had to deal with.

There was a rumor of a guild in the West obtaining a galleon on the first/second day but I disregarded it, little did I know how OP this guild was until they stormed upon us in Freedrich and wiped us out completely and at one point stole my galleon (lol), that guild was Legacy.

At that point in time I had realized Archeage was more than just having numbers and skill, I had never led a guild on a game where guild politics mattered but I loved it, I had to learn skills don't mean everything and get the chess game down.

Anyway rant mode done, Archeage brings back memories I wish you luck with your guild. If I don't lead my own guild this time around, I will most likely be applying to Legacy and choose to fight for the people dealing with the politics rather than be the one dealing with them.

Thanks for the words. We had a lot of fun in AA, especially with the politics. We had to be a ninja sneaking around early on to go against BN and Incoming Nerf, because at that time we were smaller and unknown, but we saw the weak points and exploited them like many would have. Very memorable.

We did have numerical/gear prowess later on but only after we did a lot of planning and subterfuge to take out the larger rivals, especially in out-maneuvering them for castles. I had a lot of respect for many of the east guilds for their PvP ability, even if it wasn't quite enough (Dishonor, Fatality, Sanctuary, etc). It was the fight that was in them that impressed me, they never gave up.

Ramzy and most of the Sanctuary crew joined Legacy (Praetorian for BD) and are here, not sure if you knew them. They are incredibly funny and awesome folks. Ramzy is co-lead here in fact, kicking arse with us and taking names in PvP. It was never a "if you cant beat em join em" deal but instead at the end of each fight everyday on Freedich/etc, we were able to hang out and simply say "gg" with some great laughs, we never let our power struggles get personal. It really stood out , the amount of respect our members in our guilds shared for each other - simply enjoying great PvP.

Enla was (and Kraken still is) a competitive PvP server for a very long time. The politics and PvP power struggles within the first 6 months alone was epic, at the least. I can understand how everyone might think their server was best though, but nobody could have known that early on which server would be "the" server for PvP. Also, I did not "choose" Enla but it was instead a guild vote to counter the 4-hour queue times on our original server, and I don't blame people for one second for wanting to play the game instead of waiting in queue forever each day they login. We will have to agree to disagree.

The PvP (especially against Sanct, Fatality) was nothing I ever regret having spent my time with. It was fierce, ruthless, and the alliance PvP and politics were every bit as engaging as what happened on most other servers.

I wonder if that was the same Sanct from AoC. Irregardless, the mindset of a hardcore pvper would only accept the top two servers.

Sanc if I recall was a merger of all the Enla power guilds dying off (Dishonor died due to Trion being incompetent banning some of us and then unbanning us right after the castle release, by then I was done with Trion) a lot of my core members joined Sanc. I can't speak for them obviously but I believe they started on AA.

With all that being said, there was plenty enough competition on Enla, now tell me 4 hr long server queue or 15 mins? That was the choice a lot of us made, are you saying that we weren't competitive or that we didn't compete against each other?

I can't really recall Ramzy unless that's Yzmar? Then I remember him. I also remember Loki who was in my guild followed Yzmar after my incident. I can't remember any other big names atm but we're in for some good times if a lot of Enla is on BDO.
