How far will the head start get you?

Heyo,
since I've been venturing around the world of Black Desert I've been trying to get acquainted with the game as much as possible. After monitoring my progress I am very curious:

How far do you plan on getting in the head start? Even if you didn't buy the Conqueror's pack, lets presume you had; how far do you think you will be able to progress in 96 IRL hours?
I'm speaking of milestones such as levels, crafting proficiency, contribution point count and similar.
I'm really interested in what you veterans can achieve so I can calculate how badly I'll be falling behind :)

Looking back on things now, I'd presume I will reach somewhere between level 15 and 20, with 30-ish contribution points. Because I'm sure I'll get pulled into things like gathering or fishing which I immensely enjoy and try to do all kinds of side quests with little mob grinding.
:) Thank you for your insight.

Everyone loves getting head.......starts.

And how far it will get you depends on how efficiently you use that time.

It really depends how much do you know of the game. The way I see it, the optimal use of headstart is getting away from the majority of players. Which means potentially skipping some contribution points and crafting initially in order to be able to progress faster.

With 5-10 people grinding in the beginners area it's already fairly difficult to progress at an optimal speed, so imagine the dozens of people we'll have.

Tbh if you don't have a headstart, you're better off not buying the game

lay down and rot, even in a couple of years, you stand zero chance catching up to those with the headstart

/sarcasm

everyone puts too much emphasis on the headstarts. It won't matter at all in a couple of weeks...

Head start means little if you can not keep dedicating similar time investment in the long run.

Players who have no experience of BDO apart from CBT are already 2 months behind so headstart for them is irrelevant.

For those who know what they're doing and have the time to dedicate... well they'll be level 50 30 hours into the headstart.

you can get to lvl 50 in 12 hours if you have the guides, but no prior experience. In 92 hours or around there for conquerors, you can have 4 toons to level 50 and a good start on gear.

you might get a better chance at finding other dedicated ppl to play with later since the top guilds/groups will rather pick up ppl that used the headstart

96 hours is a lot for a headstart.

Hardcore players are going to be 50 and grinding for gear by the time regular players begin.

Top pvp guilds are only looking for headstart players as it's a huge advantage.

Fastests in CBT1 was 18 hours with prior experience. Still, you'll prolly have 3 L50 or 1 L53 by the time headstart ends.

I am pretty sure  95% from acctual guilds from cb1 (cb 2) and start up   will not exist in 2 , 3 months !

I'll work on nodes, horses, workers, housing, quests, etc. Full time job so can't hardcore it like I use to and don't see a reason to sprint to 50 to lose out on the "experience" of leveling and exploration. The exploration and leveling tends to be the best part of a new game to me.

I'll do quests, ALL THE QUESTS WILL BE CONQUERED WITH MY CONQUERORS PACK!!!

Really though, I'm the type of person who gets bothered if I grind while knowing I have a ton of quests on the backlog.

I'll probably be working towards T6 horses at the same time.

I feel with 200k+ preorders as is.. taking a wild guess 20% of those might be for conq pack.... depending on server selection and channels... will be competing with 40k + players during the headstart... literally almost gonna be the same as a regular launch.

I can see getting bottle necked pretty easy.  "most" people in my opinion who are going conq are 75% hardcore want to no life it. and 25% rich kids who dont care and clicked buy.

Im not really getting my hopes up that i can get ahead of the 40k other players...

so ill just do my best and set the bar fairly low to be honest.

I went full retard on that rich kid button.  But then I figured I'd be playing this for a while and would probably buy most of that stuff at some point anyway.  Especially when I -----ed up my spec and my horse had down syndrom.
